I am a son, brother, student and athlete.
I am 6-2, 185 pounds and I graduated from Air Academy High School in Colorado Springs, Colo., on May 17, 2012.
I was a four-year starter in goal for the Kadets. We went to the playoffs each of those years.
In 2010, I helped Air Academy win the 4A state championship with a 19-1 record. I gave up 5 goals in 19 games. And I scored 2 goals while playing the field.
I was voted First Team in the All Metro Conference and Second Team All State. My folks are most proud that I earned First Team All State All Academic team.
In 2011, the Kadets were 15-3 with 12 shutouts, a great season even though they were unable to repeat as champions. I earned more post-season honors including First Team All Metro Conference again and honorable mention in state. I also got to play in the All State game for the second consecutive year.
I was lucky enough to be recruited by several Division 1 schools including the U.S. Air Force Academy, Northwestern and Davidson, as well as Division II national champions Fort Lewis, Metro State and Division III schools including Occidental.
I chose the University of Colorado at Colorado Springs because I know what a great school it is and I’m impressed with its soccer program and the direction Coach Henry Ellis is taking it.
Soccer is my main sport, although I also play basketball — I can dunk — and I kicked for the Kadets football team. I also enjoyed football in middle school as well as baseball.
My goals in life include becoming a physical therapist or physician’s assistant and leading the U.S. Olympic Soccer team to gold and to win the World Cup. Not necessarily in that order.
I play guitar and Playstation 3.
