We finished the 2011 season 15-3 with 12 shutouts.
We were a young team — we had just four starters back from our 2010 championship team.
Three of our last five games were decided in shootouts including our loss in the quarterfinals.
I only surrendered 10 goals in our 18 games.
The Gazette had ranked us No. 1 in 4A all season.
By the way, I enjoyed my kick-off duties for the Kadet football team. I drove three kicks inside the 5 yard line in our homecoming game Sept. 23 against Littleton!
It’s a blast to be back in pads. Just wish they’d let me hit someone again! But I’m strictly limited to kick-offs to protect my knee.
As a bonus, I’ll get another letter for my jacket to go with my soccer and academic letters!
